Treatments offered

How we work in the treatment room

Most plans combine several of these, alongside the acupuncture and focused shockwave therapy described below. Which ones, and in what order, is decided at your first assessment.

01

Manual therapy and massage

Hands-on techniques to relieve pain, improve mobility and promote healing through targeted manual therapy and therapeutic massage.

02

Therapeutic ultrasound

Deep tissue healing using sound waves to reduce inflammation, increase blood flow and accelerate recovery.

03

Exercise prescription

Personalised exercise programmes designed to strengthen, rehabilitate and prevent future injuries.

04

Instrument assisted soft tissue release

Specialised tools to break down scar tissue and fascial restrictions for improved movement and pain relief.

05

Dry cupping and dry needling

Targeted techniques to release muscle tension and trigger points, and to improve circulation.

06

Laser and PIR healing

Laser therapy and post-isometric relaxation techniques for pain management and tissue repair.

Acupuncture

Chinese acupuncture, delivered by physiotherapists

Acupuncture here is not a separate discipline bolted on. It is delivered by AACP-registered practitioners who combine traditional Chinese acupuncture with the same musculoskeletal assessment that shapes the rest of your treatment.

  • AACP-registered practitioners
  • Used alongside manual therapy and exercise, not instead of it
  • Also available at the Maidenhead clinic

Focused shockwave

Focused shockwave therapy for stubborn cases

Focused extracorporeal shockwave therapy uses high-energy acoustic waves to stimulate healing in chronic conditions, including plantar fasciitis, tendinopathies and persistent musculoskeletal pain.

  • Non-invasive, delivered in clinic
  • For chronic tendinopathies and calcifications
  • Available at Henley-on-Thames and Maidenhead
